From time to time plots are available on the Newton allotment site on Back Lane. If you are interested in finding out more, please contact John Barnes-Tee on the email above.
The Newton on Ouse Angling Club fishes in Cherry Fields – the stretch of river from Beningbrough gate to the water tower – during the coarse fishing season. Season tickets may be obtained (discounts available for under 16’s), or day tickets purchased.

The Playing Field Committee is responsible for maintaining the children’s play area and sports field. This is achieved by lottery grants and locally organised fundraising. If you would like to become involved with this group or have any other enquiry, please contact the Chair, Steve Calvert.
We will continue to open our Sunday afternoon kiosk on football weekends and other occasions when the weather is good, serving teas and coffees, soft drinks and snacks at very reasonable prices! We will put a sign outside the main gate if the kiosk is open.

Fancy a walk with good company?
The Newton Walkers meet once a month and generally walk between 4 or 5 miles in the beautiful and varied Yorkshire countryside (flat terrain). Our walks take place on the last Thursday of each month and we meet at Newton on Ouse Village Green at 9.30am. The walks are often finished off with a pub lunch.
We also have an annual residential weekend. New members always welcome.
Members can take turns to plan and lead the monthly walk.
